INTENSIVE GREEN ROOF

Intensive green roofs are made up of a large variety of plants and can therefore, in comparison to extensive roofs, retain a relatively large amount of rainwater. Because their substrate layer is therefore much thicker, green roofs are also heavier. They also require a higher level of maintenance.

Intensive green roofs are a great host to vegetable gardens, roof fields, flower fields, and even trees!

This tool applies only to extensive green roofs. These roof types are characterized by a 15 centimeter substrate layer, are relatively light, and often contain sedum, grasses, or herbs.
